The Roman Emperor reigned supreme after a fast-paced battle with Race One winner Cal Crutchlow.

Crutchlow signed off his World Superbike stint with a well-earned second place, while an overcome Michel Fabrizio helped send the Ducati Xerox team off on a high by crossing the line third.

BRNO_-_Crutchlow_-_BLOG.jpgCAL Crutchlow left the rest trailing in his wake as he stormed to victory in today's first World Superbike Championship race at Magny Cours.

The Sterilgarda Yamaha rider took the lead on Lap Eight and never looked back, stretching out a comfortable gap for himself while the rest battled for position behind.

Leon Haslam made it a Brit 1-2 as he took second place in the final corner, while Carlos Checa finished third.

CAL Crutchlow took the double in style as he led five Brits across the line to victory.

The Yamaha Sterilgarda rider took the lead three laps from the end and instantly edged out an untouchable lead as he showboated his way home to his second win of the day.

Once again it was HANNSpree Ten Kate rider Jonathan Rea who crossed the line second, but this time it was Alitalia Aprilia's Leon Camier who took a solid third - after starting from 16th on the grid.

CAL Crutchlow finally converted pole into the win as he took his maiden WSB win at Silverstone.

The firey Brit, who has started from the top spot five times this season, had been desperate to bag his first win since joining the series this year.

But in front of his home crowd the reigning World Supersport champ got the better of fellow Brit Jonathan Rea and grabbed a convincing win onboard the Yamaha Sterilgarda machine to lead a British one-two-three across the line.

BRNO_-_Rea_action-BLOG.jpgJONATHAN Rea dominated the opening race from Brno this morning, to take his third SBK win of the season.

The HANNSpree Ten Kate rider crossed the line on one wheel after edging out a gap of more than three seconds at the front of the pack.

Series leader Max Biaggi was second man home, with Britain's Cal Crutchlow third.
