JONATHAN Rea got his 2010 campaign off to a flying start by clocking the fastest time in the three day Infront Motor Sports official Superbike test session at Portimao in Portugal.

The Northern Ireland rider led an all British top four as the the chequered flag fell on the official test.

And the HANNSpree Ten Kate rider's fastest lap of 1.42.270secs was faster than 2009 champ Ben Spies' Polesetting time of last season.

It's been a while for me too folks but I'm back with a blog about the subject everyone's talking about at the moment...the weather...and how it's affected my family this last week...

The Woodland Trust is once again collecting Christmas cards and using them to fund tree planting.

They are hoping to raise enough money to plant 12,000 trees.

You can help by taking your old cards to either W H Smith, T K Maxx or Marks & Spencers stores and dropping them into the special bins.

The scheme runs until the end of January.
