BELOW the Belt would like to welcome Ultimate Fighter Ross Pearson as guest blogger for the next six weeks.

Sunderland-born Ross is battling in the Ultimate Fighting Championships 105 in Manchester MEN Arena on Saturday, November 14th.

In the lead up to his is fight against Aaron Riley, Ross will be taking readers through the highs and lows of his pre-fight training regime.

This will be featured both on Below the Belt blog and a weekly column in the Sunday Sun newspaper.

His blog and column will start with a feature in next week's Sunday Sun on Sunday, October 11th in the sports pages of the paper.

His column will also feature in Martial News, an online newspaper dedicated to martial arts in the region.

He is also to be the guest of honour at DFM Martial Arts' Cage Fight Night, alongside boxer star Tony Jeffries, at The Alnwick Gardens, Alnwick, Nortrhumberland on Friday, October 30th.

Ross was the lightweight champion of the hit television show The Ultimate Fighter and won a six-figure contract with the UFC.

A well-known and much respected fighter in the UK mixed martial arts world, Ross has since won an army of admirers across the Pond in the States.

A former boxer, Ross has an awesome stand up game but is also very skilled on the ground. His fight against Riley is being eagerly awaited by fight fans every where.

Ross is one of a number of British fighters on the bill at the MEN Arena with MMA superstar Michael "The Count" Bisping heading the Brit contingent with his fight against Denis Kang for the middleweight showdown.

Tickets for UFC 105 are priced at £250, £150, £100, £85, £65 and £40 and are available now via ticketmaster.co.uk and the MEN Arena box office from 10AM.
