Eco-clothes get stylish
The Alternative Fashion Show is a collaborative event organised by Fairtrade Durham and Climate Durham, to be held next Wednesday 21 October, 6.30pm in Durham Town Hall, tickets on sale at tourist office, £5.50.
This is a great opportunity to view the wide range of clothing now available from ethical and fairtrade suppliers - gone are the days of hemp and sackcloth - these clothing suppliers are cutting edge!
As well as people modelling the clothes there are two guest speakers - Paul Chandler, MD of Traidcraft and Doug Miller, Professor of Ethical Fashion at Northumbria University.
There'll also be an opportunity to buy the clothes!
