Strictly Come Bitching
Arlene Phillips has a short memory.
In her column in a London-based tabloid (OK, it's The Sun) the Strictly Come Dancing judge, sacked for being too old, made nicey nicey about John Sergeant.
John, you remember, was the surprise success of last year's competition until he was forced to resign in a toffee-nosed campaign by snooty establishment types.
Anyway Phillips, writing about one of this year's crop of dancers, Phil Tufnell, said: "Phil is going to be this year's John Sergeant. Everyone will love him."
Not everyone. Is this the same Phillips who called Sergeant a dancing pig and was vociferous in her belief that he should not win the competition?
Strictly Come Bitching indeed.
