Note to Laverty - You need a bigger sack!
WITH one World Supersport race win already under his belt, Eugene Laverty should have known better.
Because it seems the Durham-based Irishman hasn't learned that with victories come very big trophies.
The 23-year-old, who won his second WSS race at Assen on Sunday - becoming the first man this year to win two races - clearly hadn't banked on standing on the top of the podium when he headed out to the Dutch track last week.
As this pic - taken by girlfriend Pippa Morson shows - the star had nowhere suitable to stash the enormous piece of silverware as he headed back to the UK.
So he was forced to shove it into his backpack -which he was then unable to fasten - as he headed through customs at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.
"I don't know if the trophies are getting bigger but it was hardly a perfect fit - he had nowhere else to put it," laughed Pippa.
"Thankfully we made it back home with it in one piece, we'd been expecting it to fall out because we couldn't fasten it up."
Perhaps it's time for Eugene to start spending some of that prize money on a bigger backpack - because let's face it, if he keeps riding like he did on Sunday there is going to be a steady stream of these massive trophies heading back to the Laverty household

He will have set a few alarms off with that beast, lets hope he has the same problem for the rest of the season.
